Piercetown firefighters direct traffic at the scene of a single vehicle wreck Thursday afternoon on Highway 8. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road and struck a utility pole, breaking it. Pelzer EMS responded to the scene. The car overturned after striking the pole.
