According to reports, Carlos Deandre Sanche Williams, 33, of Greenwood, was reportedly working as a contract employee for FedEx. He was driving a U Haul truck, and was apparently making deliveries. Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said
Williams was partially ejected from the vehicle and declared dead at the scene from blunt force trauma. Neither he nor the child were restrained inside the vehicle, which ran off the right side of the road and struck several trees. Pelzer EMS, the Anderson County Fire Department and the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
