Over 100 people attended an appreciation barbeque for Sheriff Chad McBride and deputies from the Anderson County Sheriffs office Wednesday evening in Pelzer. Six area crime watch groups put the event together. Law enforcement officers emphasized to the groups that they are the eyes of law enforcement. They are the ones that can help early on when they see something suspicious or illegal in their neighborhood by calling 911. Sheriff McBride was also presented an award from the crime watch groups for appreciation, dedication, and service to the citizens of Anderson county. (Photo by David Rogers)
