Envision Williamston announces new Executive Director

Tony Brown has recently been named as the new Executive Director for Envision Williamston.  Envision Williamston is a part of the Main Street South Carolina Community. It is a grass-roots organization that serves as a preservation based economic development tool that works to grow the business district and foster community development and pride.
Brown is no stranger in serving the community.  He spent 14 years working with children and families as a social worker for both non-profit and state agencies before moving into administrative roles; beginning with being Director of the Miracle Hill Children’s Home in 2013, to his most recent role as the Operations Director for Foothills Alliance.  During his career, Brown has successfully developed both institutional and community partnerships.
Tony has served in leadership roles with community organizations such as The Boy Scouts of America on the “Learning for Life” District Committee.  He has also done volunteer work to support foster parents.
Brown lives in the Piedmont area with his family, which includes 2 sons.  When not working, Tony enjoys watching any and all sports, working out, and spending quiet time with his family.  He is an active member of NewSpring Church located in Anderson. He will officially take over the position in November.
