MARK COTHRAN, EDWARD ANDERSON, MARGARET MOORHEAD RAINES, DONNA WOODSON

MARK COTHRAN

John Mark Cothran, Jr., 29, of Belton, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019.

Born in Fort Campbell, KY, he was a son of John Mark Cothran, Sr. and Nancy Ruth Brown Cothran of Belton.

A member of Calvary Baptist Church, he attended Clemson University.

Additional survivors include, a brother, Samuel Cothran; sister, Jessica Cothran, all of Belton; maternal grandparents, Wilton and Ruth Brown of Spartanburg; paternal grandparents, James Kenneth and Joan Cothran of Belton.

Funeral service was held on Monday, December 9, in the chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.

EDWARD ANDERSON

Edward Lee “Eddie” Anderson, Sr., 71, of Piedmont, husband of Sandra Fowler Anderson, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of Loretta Evans Anderson of Piedmont and the late Ernest Anderson. He retired from Anderson Brothers Collision Services.

Additional survivors include a son, Eddie Lee Anderson, Jr. of Sunset; daughter, Denise Barrett of Anderson; sister, Faye Anderson; brothers, Danny and Perry Anderson; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, December 10 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

MARGARET MOORHEAD RAINES

Margaret Moorhead Raines of Powdersville, passed away on December 5, 2019. She was a resident of Oakview Park Memory Care in Powdersville.

She is survived by her husband Howard Marion Raines, along with four sons; Douglas of Carbondale, CO, Steven of Taylors, Keith of Piedmont, and Chip of Piedmont; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She retired as an Executive Assistant for numerous corporations in the Greenville area. She was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church, Greenville.

A funeral service was held on Sunday December 8 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations in Greenville. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

DONNA WOODSON

Donna Faye Bell Woodson, 70, of Greenville, wife of William “Earl” Woodson, died Monday, December 9, 2019 at her home.

Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of Sallie Ruth Prince Bell Evans of Belton and the late James Earl Bell.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by children, Lisa Tenney of Belton, Kathy Dutton of Laurens, Brenda Lynn Woodson of Piedmont, Candy Strickland  of Greenville, Kevin Woodson  of Honea Path; brothers, Richard, Roger, Reed, and Randall Bell; sisters, Brenda Finley, Catherine Harvey and Lynn Bell; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, December 11, in the Chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
