The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that Verizon customers living in the unincorporated areas of Greenville County are currently not able to use 911. According to the GCSO, Verizon is aware of the issue and is working to fix it. Until then the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is advising anyone that is a Verizon customer that needs emergency or nonemergency assistance to dial 864 271-5210 and option 8 to get a dispatcher. As soon as Verizon has fixed the problem, a notice will be released.
