Williamston police officers investigated the following incidents:
Mar. 7 – Patricia Babb, 62, 221 Mauldin St,. Williamston, reported her son, Ricky Patterson Jr., assaulted her and broke a window causing $100 in damage. She signed a complaint withdrawal and no charges were filed. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.
Mar. 7 – Sheppard Steven Alan, 35, 1949 Holiday Dam Rd., Belton reported a hit and run in which a white Acura with four white males backed into his 2007 Volkswagon at the SavWay, 309 E. Main St.. and left the scene. Damage was estimated at $1500. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.
Mar. 7 – An officer was dispatched to 8 Poinsett St., Williamston where Dendy Lee Ross, 59, 8 Poinsett St. reported she had been assaulted by her roommate. The friend/roommate Melody Evans was not at the scene. Due to irate behavior by the complainant and her being uncooperative with the officer, the officer left and the case cleared. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.
Mar. 6 – Jackie Odell Trammell, 2, 109 E. Fernwood Rd., Simpsonville was arrested and charged with public disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to Fiesta Restaurant in reference to a fight in progress. According to reports, Trammell entered the restaurant intoxicated and began to smoke a cigarette. He was asked to put the cigarette out by Gustavo Valtierr. Valtierr left the back room then returned due to a commotion. Trammell began to bump into multiple chairs including a child’s highchair which was turned upside down with a child in a car seat. Multiple people tried to help Trammell outside but he became physically aggressive and began to curse at multiple people. He then swung a closed fist at two people who defended themselves. EMS was called to evaluate Trammell’s injuries and he became belligerent and refused treatment. All parties declined to prosecute for the fight. Trammell was arrested for public disorderly conduct and transported to ACDC. C. D. Brown, J. Sparks investigated. West Pelzer and Belton police officers also assisted.
Mar. 5 – Rita Lee Brady, 48, 5 Bollinger St., Pelzer was issued courtesy summons for driving under suspension and manner of driving after a white vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on Parker St. during a heavy rain downpour. Detective L. B. Culbertson investigated.
Mar. 4 – Brandon Christopher Ledford, 24, 303 River St,. Belton reported a hit and run incident in which a white Toyota backed into his 2006 Pontiac G6SD while he was in Fiesta Restaurant, 543 W. Main St., Williamston. According to reports, a witness reported the vehicle was driven by a young white female with long dark hair and there was a passenger described as an older white female with gray hair. The passenger got out of the vehicle to check for damages, got back in and the vehicle left the scene. There was no structural damage to the black Pontiac other than white paint left on the black vehicle. D. R. Hart investigated.
Feb. 25 – Katy Brooke Jones, 32, 20 Ridge Court, Williamston reported damage to two vehicles. According to reprots, four tires were slashed and a passenger side window broken on a 2005 Honda Accord. also four tires were slashed and a driver’s side window knocked out on a 2002 Honda Civic. Damage was estimated at $1300. The incident remains under investigation. C. Parker investigated.
Mar. 2 – Officer C. D. Brown and J. Sparks investigated an incident in which a Ford Explorer was observed turned on its driver side on Brock Lane. According to reports, the license plate came back to Richard McClain, 106 Hillcrest Circle, Belton. While on the scene, a vehicle pulled up and told officers the wrecked vehicle had been seen at 20 Ridge Court. In an attempt to make contact with someone in reference to the vehicle, officers went to 20 Ridge Court where they observed a Honda Accord and a Honda Civic, both with a broken window. Multiple attempts were made to get someone to the door, but were unsuccessful. Attempts to make contact with the registered owner were also unsuccessful. On Mar. 3, the vehicle owner came to the Williamston Police Department and stated that his son had been driving the vehicle. Charges are pending.  C. D. Brown, J. Sparks investigated.
