GCSO makes arrest in connection with Dunklin Bridge Road shallow grave

Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed the body discovered in a field off of Dunklin Bridge Road on Tuesday, March 24th, was that of previously reported missing person, Carolyn Jackson. Following the discovery of the body, an investigation ensued and upon completion of the autopsy, investigators worked to identify two suspects; both have been charged. Thirty-six year-old, Amanda Marie Scott and thirty-nine year-old, Denardis Jamont Kilgo are facing charges for Murder and Kidnapping after investigators learned the pair, who was staying with the victim at the time, killed her using blunt force trauma, bound her and buried her in a shallow grave. The motive for the killing is still under investigation. Both Kilgo and Scott are currently in the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
