Schools closed through April

Gov. Henry McMaster announced Tuesday that all public schools and colleges will remain closed until April 30. While out of the classroom, students have been doing remote learning across the state in an effort to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.
All of the Anderson County school districts have said the current eLearning system will continue but with more lesson plans to extend through April. Anderson School District One states they will follow the school calendar to the extent possible. Spring Break was scheduled for the week of April 6.
Greenville County Schools has already made plans for extended closing, including the scheduled distribution of materials that will take students through the week of April 20. GCS Spring Break was scheduled for the week of April 13.
The Anderson School District One Board plans to meet Tuesday, Mar. 31 at 6 p.m. in the District One Office Boardroom. The meeting will be closed to the public, but will be streamed live on the District One website.
