Anderson County Magistrates Offices Closed Until Further Notice

All outlying Magistrate’s Offices in Williamston, Belton, Honea Path, Iva, Pendleton and Powdersville will remain CLOSED until further notice.  All Jury, Bench Trials and Traffic Cases have been postponed until after May 1, 2020.
If you have a traffic case, bench trial or jury trial scheduled before this time it will be rescheduled and you will be notified of the new date as soon as possible.
If you were summoned for Jury Duty during this time, you DO NOT need to appear.
Beginning this week, the Anderson Summary Court located at the Ronald Townsend Building located at 2404 N. Main Street, Anderson will be CLOSED to the General Public.  Staff will be available from 8:30 am to 11:30 am to answer questions by phone or email.  The main switchboard for Summary Court is 864-260-4156.
All filings will need to be made at the Anderson Summary Court located at 2404 N. Main Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
All filings will need to be made during this the hours of 8:30am – 11:30 am Monday through Friday and dropped in the drop box located at the Security Desk.  Payments must be made by cashier’s check, money order or business check.  You will be mailed your receipt and any other paperwork. Per Chief Justice Beatty’s Order, no filings will be accepted for evictions or writs ejectments.
All fines and tickets will need to be paid online through SCGOV.org or mailed into Anderson Summary Court to 2404 N. Main Street, Anderson, SC 29621.  Your receipt will be mailed to you once payment is received.  We will no longer accept cash payments or walk-ins to make payments. All online payments take 2 business days to process.
If you are paying a fine to have your license reinstated and are paying online, please be aware that it takes 2 business days for your payment to be receipted.  DMV will be notified once payment is receipted and you can go online through SCDMVonline.com and pay to have your license reinstated without having to go to the DMV office.
All Anderson County Bond Court hearings will be held at 8 am daily.
