James Bobby Pittman, Lloyd Crowe, Michelle Morris, John Wilson, Sara Martin, Debbie Meeks

James Bobby Pittman 

James Bobby Pittman, 82, husband of Annie Sue Rogers Pittman, of 95 Lakeview Drive, Seneca, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at his home.

Born in Buford, Ga, Mr. Pittman was the son of the late Claude Newton and Velma McBrayer Pittman.  He retired from Westinghouse Electric Corporation.  Mr. Pittman was a member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Pittman is survived by his daughters: Debbie Albertsons of Easley, SC, Anita Murphy (Bill) of California and Lisa Kueper of Easley, SC;  brother, Harold Pittman of Piedmont, SC; sisters: Ina Mae Eastuce of Columbus, GA, Betty Jo Hall of Piedmont, SC, Peggy Bawkum of Greenville, SC and Joanna Looney of Piedmont, SC; grandchildren: Michael Albertson (Kimberly), Austin Kueper, Sela Kueper and Brent McMillian, and one great-grandchild: Samuel Albertson.                                                        Mr. Pittman was known as Bobby and grew up in Piedmont, SC.  He graduated Piedmont High School where he was a cheerleader and also attended Clemson University.

Bobby was fun loving and easy going.  After he met and married Ann, who was the love of life, they were inseparable.  While enjoying 37 years of marriage, they traveled to every state in the US (except Alaska) as well as many countries in Europe.

Bobby will be missed by all who knew him.

A private service was held April 3, 2020.

Lloyd Crowe

Harold Lloyd Crowe, 87, husband of Frances Crowe, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Creswell Zachariah and Sallie Mae Kilby Crowe. He was a U.S. National Guard veteran and retired from Mount Vernon Mills. For over fifty years, he volunteered with the Williamston Fire Department and delivered Meals on Wheels for almost 19 years. A member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, he was one of the original members of the Tuesday Morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast at B&R Restaurant in Williamston.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Tony H. Crowe of Pelzer; daughter, Rhonda Smith of Piedmont; sisters, Linda Kelley of Six Mile, Ann Howard of Pickens; three grandchildren, Dustin Sheppard of Anderson, Dr. Ryan Crowe of Easley, and Eric Crowe of Easley; three step-grandchildren, Spencer Smith, Hannah and Stephanie Breve, all of Piedmont; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Michelle Morris

Linda Michelle Morris, 50, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

Born in Easley, she was the daughter of Linda Ann Foster Morris and the late Roger Morris of Piedmont. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Anna Michelle Layne of Pelzer, Kayla Marie Allen of Piedmont, Lucas Claude Varnadore and Jossie Ann Bagwell of the home; brother, Joe Morris of Piedmont; and five grandchildren.  

Due to the current circumstances, a memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Home with a Heart, 220 James Mattison Road, Liberty, SC 29657.

John Wilson

Pelzer – John Lathan “Johnny” Wilson, 75, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Francis and Ruth Proffitt Wilson. A veteran of the S.C. National Guard, he retired from Williamston Meat Market, and was a cattle farmer.

He is survived by his sons, Kevin and Kyle Wilson, both of Pelzer; daughter, Sonya W. Jones of Pelzer; sister, Sue King of Raleigh, NC and Ruth Ann Norris of Belton; five grandchildren, Kristina Wilson, John William Wilson, Dustin Martin, Robbie Lee Black, and Ashley Jones; and significant other, Joyce Hastings of the home.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Sara Martin

Sara Jean Anderson Martin, wife of Eddie Ray Martin, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late James Albert and Sylvia Jean Keeler Anderson. She was formerly employed with Greenville Memorial Hospital.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Ashley Lufkin of Pelzer; sister, Teresa Bane of Saluda; three grandchildren, and  two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by sons, Daniel Ray Martin and Timothy Ray Martin; and brother, James “Delmar” Anderson.

A graveside service was held Sunday, April 5, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Debbie Meeks

Debra Henderson “Debbie” Meeks, 48, wife of Eugene Wayne “Gene” Meeks, passed away March 28, 2020, at her home in Greenville County.

She was the daughter of Sue A. Henderson and the late Charles E. Henderson. Surviving in addition to her husband, is a son, Brandon Black and daughter-in-law, Tilley Black of Greenville; mother, Sue Henderson of Piedmont; and brother, Rick Henderson.

Due to the current circumstances, there was no visitation or service to maintain the health and safety of family and friends.
