SCEMD stats on National Stockpile requests

The gaps between medical equipment related to the coronavirus that is needed and that is actually provided continues to exist, although it shrinks as suppliers continue to gear up.  As of April 3rd, the following information, related to requests made by the South Carolina Emergency Management Division for equipment from the National Stockpile was as follows:
N95 Masks – 312,878 N95 masks were requested. Almost 1.7 million were ordered or donated, but only 312,878 were actually delivered.
Surgical Masks – A total of 202,550 surgical masks were distributed; while 874,525 were  ordered or donated.
Face Shields – 97,416 devices for eye and face protection were distributed; 374,841 were either ordered or donated. Gloves – Gloves requested (the number does not distinguish between pairs and single units) and distributed was 412,092. The numbers ordered or promised was almost 1.1 million.
Gowns – Gowns for medical care providers were requested to the tune of 413,406 – 671,996 were promised.
