GCSO enters chase in Moonville area

At around 6:15pm Monday, deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office stating they were pursuing a vehicle whose driver had attempted to assault a deputy and was fleeing from their units.
The pursuit entered into Greenville County and GCSO deputies joined the pursuit near the Moonville area. The pursuit continued down White Horse Road. At the intersection of Hwy. 253 the suspect struck at least one innocent vehicle. The suspect then bailed from the vehicle on foot and was ultimately apprehended near the McDonalds at White Horse Road and West Blue Ridge Drive.
No deputies were injured in the incident, however the suspect and three civilians who were involved as innocent parties in the traffic collision, were transported to the hospital.  The suspect is facing charges for Failure to Stop for Blue Lights and Resisting Arrest. Additional charges are expected from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.
