Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
July 11 – Wanye Dewey Bradley, 63, 1490 Meadowlark, Ln., Fountain Inn was arrested for an active shoplifting incident in Greenville County. Williamston officers arrested him at 28 Beaverdam Road. T. L. Eichelberger, Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.
July 10 – While on patrol, officer M. B. Jackson observed a suspicious vehicle parked at the Church of God at 12 W. 1st. St. The 2013 Ford Fusion valued at $2,000 was reported stolen out of Anderson County. M. B. Jackson, D. Vickery investigated.
July 9 – Officer D. Vickery investigated an animal complaint involving a raccoon at 8 Shaw Drive in Williamston. According to reports, SCDNR advised the responding officer to shoot the raccoon and dispose of it, which he did.
July 7 – Officers were dispatched 409 Gossett Drive (Milliken) in reference to truck driver in cardiac arrest. CPR was administered by the plant nurse and responding fire personnel. EMS arrived and pronounced the victim deceased, which was confirmed by Anderson County Deputy Coroner D. McCown. The deceased driver was from Alabama.
