Williamston voters can vote early at satellite voting locations today

The Anderson County Elections Board will has four absentee voting locations open today (Sept. 8) for early and safe absentee voting. The four satellite absentee voting locations will be open between the hours of 8:30 – 11:30 am and 1:00-5:00 pm.

Williamston Voters can cast their ballot for the town election at any of the satellite locations today or the downtown election office by requesting a Williamston Municipal Election ballot when they vote.

The four Satellite Absentee locations are: Powdersville Library, 4 Civic Court Powdersville; Belton Recreation, 700 Blue Ridge Ave, Belton; Starr Fire Department, 7715 Hwy 81 S, Starr and Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center, 3027 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Anderson.

Williamston Mayor Mack Durham said, “Our voting officials are dedicated to giving every voter every opportunity they can to cast their vote safely and privately. This is your sacred right as an American! If you have any questions you can call the office in Anderson at 864-260-4035 or visit www.SCVotes.gov/absentee-voting. I hope everyone will get out and vote and let their voice be heard during this election.”

“Williamston Town Election ballots are also being sent out in the mail today, so watch your mail for your ballot to arrive in the next couple of days,” Durham said.

If voting in person at one of the satellite absentee location, note that COVID safety precautions will be in effect.
