SCDHEC COVID-19 Weekend Update

On Sunday, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported1,281 new confirmed cases and 15 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. DHEC also reported 7 additional confirmed deaths and 2 new probable deaths.

Anderson County reported 81 new cases and one death related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 195 new cases and two deaths related to COVID.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases since the first case was reported March 6 to 163,143, probable cases to 7,535. Confirmed deaths related to COVID in SC are 3,567, and 235 probable deaths.

As of Sunday there were 725 COVID patients in hospitals across the state. Of those 206 were in ICU and 95 on ventilators.

 

On Saturday (Oct 24) DHEC reported 628 new confirmed cases and 57 new probable cases of the COVID-19. DHEC also reported 14 additional confirmed deaths related to COVID and 2 new probable deaths.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC yesterday statewide was 5,727 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 11.0%.

On Friday (Oct. 23) DHEC reported 784 new confirmed cases and 83 new probable cases of coronavirus, 18 additional confirmed deaths and 5 new probable deaths.
Anderson County reported 37 new cases and one death.
Greenville County reported 129 new cases and three deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed deaths to 3,545, and 232 probable deaths.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC yesterday statewide was 6,398 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 12.3%.

On Thursday (Oct. 22) DHEC) reported 921 new confirmed cases and 79 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus. DHEC also reported 40 additional confirmed deaths and 10 new probable deaths related to COVID.
Anderson County reported 46 new cases and one probable case of COVID-19. There were five deaths related to COVID-19.
Greenville County reported 130 new cases and one probable cases. There was one death reported.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC yesterday statewide was 7,160 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 12.9%.
