Two charged in death of GCSO deputy on I-85 last week

Two people have been charged in connection with the death of Greenville County Master Deputy Conley Jumper last week.
Agents from the S.C. Law Enforcement Division Wednesday arrested two suspects involved in the incident on I-85 in Greenville County that resulted in Jumper’s death.
Ray L. Kelly, 37, was charged with Murder, Resisting Arrest with a Deadly Weapon, Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature, Weapons Possession During a Violent Crime, two counts of Resisting Arrest, and Drug Trafficking.
Tornell T. Laureano, 24, was charged with Drug Trafficking and Weapons Possession During a Violent Crime.
The SLED investigation, assisted by the S.C. Highway Patrol, was requested by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
Kelly and Laureano were booked at the Greenville County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
This incident remains under investigation.
