SCDHEC Update Oct. 29 – Greenville County reporting 131 new cases

On Thursday (Oct. 29) the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 918 new confirmed cases and 60 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. DHEC also reported 13 additional confirmed deaths and 2 new probable deaths.

Anderson County reported 60 new cases and no deaths related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 131 new cases, one probable case and 2 deaths related to COVID.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 166,344, probable cases to 8,247, confirmed deaths to 3,645, and 244 probable deaths.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC yesterday statewide was 6,945 and the percent positive was 13.2%.

There were 800 COVID patients in hospitals. Of those 202 were in ICU and 97 ventilated.
