SCDHEC – Greenville County leads the state with new COVID cases

On Thursday (Nov. 12) the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 1,243 new confirmed cases and 67 new probable cases of COVID-19. DHEC also reported 8 additional confirmed deaths and no new probable deaths related to COVID.

This brings the total number of confirmed deaths to 3,817, and 267 probable deaths.

Anderson County reported 67 new cases and one probable case.
Greenville County led the state, reporting 250 new cases followed by Spartanburg with 127 new cases.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC yesterday statewide was 8,659 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 14.4%.

There were 810 COVID patients in hospitals. Of those, 196 are in ICU and 91 ventilated.
