SCDHEC Weekend Update
South Carolina COVID-19 update (November 22)
On Sunday (Nov. 22) the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 1.066 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 13 probable cases.

DHEC also reported 9 new confirmed deaths and 1 probable deaths related to COVID.

This brings the total number of deaths to 3,982 and probable deaths to 301.

There were 8,394 individual test results were reported statewide yesterday (not including antibody tests) and 12.7% percent were positive.
There were 809 COVID patients in hospitals. Of those 201 were in ICU and 93 ventilated.

On Saturday (Nov. 21) DHEC reported 26 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 18 probable new cases.
DHEC also reported 26 new COVID related deaths and 18 probable COVID related deaths.
Anderson County reported 74 new cases, one probable case and one death related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 307 new cases, 7 probable cases and five deaths related to COVID.

13,693 individual test results were reported statewide on Friday (not including antibody tests) and 11.2% were positive.

On Friday (Nov. 20) DHEC reported 1,479 new cases and 82 probable new cases of COVID-19.
DHEC also reported 26 new confirmed deaths and 5 probable deaths related to COVID.

Anderson County reported 87 new confirmed cases and 1 probable case, and 1 death related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 205 new cases, 4 probable cases and 4 deaths related to COVID.

There were 11,207 individual test results were statewide (not including antibody tests)
and 13.2% were positive.
There were 809 COVID patients in hospitals across the state, with 201 in ICU and 93 ventilated.
