On Monday (Mar. 8), for Saturday (Mar. 6) DHEC reported 562 new confirmed cases and 126 probable cases of COVID-19. DHEC also reported 4 deaths and 2 probable deaths related to COVID.
Anderson County reported only 14 new cases. Greenville County reported only 73 new cases.
There were 579 COVID patients in hospitals with 140 in ICU and 72 on ventilators.
Statewide there were 20,552 molecular test results reported with a positivity rate of only 3.7 percent.
The first case of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, in South Carolina, was reported on March 6, 2020.
