In the special election held Tuesday, Williamston attorney Lee Cole handily won the Town Council Ward 2 seat vacated by Rockey Burgess when he took office as mayor. Cole, who recently resigned as the town attorney, was the only candidate on the ballot.
His campaign will focus on fostering well-planned economic and residential development, ensuring that the Town government continues to provide quality services to its citizens, and the restoration of the Mineral Spring Park.
