Anderson County Council District 6 representative Jimmy Davis and SC House District 10 Representative West Cox are offering residents a new opportunity to participate in and discuss politics in their community.
A new quarterly meeting called “Powdersville Politics” will offer the opportunity to discuss issues facing the Powdersville community, county and state.
“We hope this will be an engaging time for citizens to come hear updates, discuss issues together and talk politics,” said Representative Cox.
The first speakers will be Councilman Davis and Rep. West Cox. They hope to bring exciting speakers and topics to the meeting in the future. “We want this to be a time when people can get together and hear about issues going on around them, and gather with fellow citizens who are interested in their government and politics,” said Councilman Davis, adding “We are excited to get folks together and talk politics in our area.”

The meetings will be held quarterly, and Rep. Cox and Councilman Davis said they both hope this will provide an outlet for the community, help engage local residents, and bring attention to Powdersville.

The first meeting will be held on May 24 at 7 p.m. at the Powdersville Fire Department.

While the name is “Powdersville Politics” the meeting is open to anyone no matter where you live. For more information, please call Rep. Cox at 864-625-0463 or Councilman Davis at 864-508-4788 or email, WestforHouse@gmail.com.
