Benjamin Louis Dillard

June 10,1980 – April 19, 2021

Benjamin Louis Dillard, 40 of West Pelzer, SC passed away on April 19, 2021

Son of Mary Jo D. Posey of the home.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Hazel R. Williams and his aunt, Margaret C. Williams.

He is survived by a sister, Kristi Dillard of Dallas TX.  Nieces who he loved so very much as if they were his own children, Danielle Keeler of Greenville, SC.  Hannah Contreras of Dallas, TX.  Haley Simmons of Rocky Mount, NC.  Great niece, Ayva Simmons who he loved so very much and was his little princess.  Great nephew, Jaxson Contreras who he loved so very much and was his future little fishing buddy.  His uncle, Tim Williams (Nancy) of West Pelzer, SC who was like a father to him, and his cousins Adrienne Cole (Steven) and JoEarle Roach (Robby) of Belton, SC.

Ben enjoyed fishing, playing video games, spending time with his nieces, great niece, Ayva and great nephew, Jaxson.  Ben loved his mother very much and dedicated his life to taking care of her.  Ben would always be there for anyone who needed him. He was a simple man and lived a simple, happy life.  He loved to laugh and joke around and was a huge University of South Carolina fan.  Ben always had a smile on his face.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He will be missed by so many but especially his family.  WE LOVE YOU BEN, we will see you again when we all reunite in Heaven.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Ray Allison

Donald Ray Allison Jr., 50, husband of Bonnie Gail Hudson Allison of Honea Path, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021.

Born in Greenville, he is the son of Malinda Mae Jones Allison of Piedmont and the late Donald “Donnie” Ray Allison, Sr.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughter, Olivia “Lulu” Allison Morris of Fountain Inn; son, Hunter Ray Allison of Honea Path; sisters, Annette Elizabeth Cartee of West Pelzer and Belinda Storay of Piedmont; and one grandchild.

The visitation was held Friday, April 23 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The memorial service followed at the mortuary chapel.

June Smith

Brenda June Dyer Smith of Piedmont, 77, wife of Charles F. Smith, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Will and Myrtle Elizabeth Brazeal Dyer.  She retired from Michelin – Donaldson Center and was member of Life Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Alison J. Lynn of Taylors; step-children, Julie Beuhner of Greer, Lisa Milhaupt of Welford, and Lance Smith of Fountain Inn; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was April 25, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer

The funeral service followed at the mortuary chapel. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Piedmont.

Curt Nimmons

Albert Curtis “Curt” Nimmons of Piedmont, 74, husband of Ollie Jenny Lou Kelly Nimmons, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Albert Carrie and Mary Marie Alexander Nimmons. He retired from J.P. Stevens and Company, Estes Plant.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Ann Marie Davis of Piedmont and Mary Catina Nimmons of the home; son, Jerry Michael Paul Nimmons of the home; brothers, Lewis Nimmons of Savannah, GA and Ralph Nimmons of Piedmont; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and. Visitation was held Wednesday, April 28, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Full Gospel Tabernacle, with the funeral to follow at 4:00 p.m.

 Due to Covid-19, the family requests that masks be worn and social distancing observed.

Marcus Fullbright

Marcus David Fullbright of Belton, 80, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late George and Vera Fullbright. A U.S. veteran, he was also a retired lathe operator.

He is survived by a sister, Linda Martin.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

 No services will be held at this time.

Ray Norman Billingsley 

Pelzer – Ray Norman Billingsley, 78, husband of Annette Elizabeth Campbell Billingsley, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021. 

Born in Piedmont, he was a son of the late Furman A. and Ruby Janell Palmer Billingsley. He retired from Michelin Tire Company and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Williamston. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Sonya Harrison (Chip) of Belton, Phillip Billingsley (Kristina) of Pelzer, Teresa Medlin (Steve) of Travelers Rest, and Timmy Billingsley (Denise) of Williamston; twenty-two grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by a son, Norman Billingsley; sister, Mary Sue Bennettt; and brother, Waymon “Junior” Allred Billingsley. 

Visitation was held Wednesday, April 14, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church. The funeral followed at 2:00, with burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
