On Sunday (May 9) DHEC reported 378 new cases and 203 possible cases of COVID-19 as of May 7. There were 8 confirmed deaths and 1 probable death related to COVID. Percent positive for testing was 5.7 percent. Anderson County reported 21 new cases and 4 probable cases. Greenville County reported 73 new cases and 22 probable cases and 1 death.
There were 356 COVID patients in hospitals with 94 in ICU and 52 on ventilators.
