Agents of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) arrested two former detention center officers with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office last Thursday in connection to the in-custody death of an inmate in the Anderson County Detention Center on October 17, 2020.
Milton Brady Wilson, 28, and Chancelor Stephen Lee Saxton, 26, were each charged with involuntary manslaughter, along with misconduct in office.
The request for the SLED investigation was made by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. Wilson and Saxton were booked at the Abbeville County Detention Center. The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office
