Anderson School District One Graduation Ceremonies Thursday

Graduation ceremonies for all three Anderson School District One high schools will be held this Thursday, May 27 at Bons Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville.

Palmetto graduates will be the first to receive diplomas beginning at 9 a.m. Powdersville graduation will be at 12 p.m. followed by Wren ceremonies at 3 p.m.

At Palmetto’s graduation, Principal Robert Roach will begin with introductions. Honor Grad Austin Matthew Love will then lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Emaleigh Makensie Bright will sing the National Anthem.
Honor Grad Ashley Elizabeth Edge will welcome guests.
Salutatorian Ella Gracelyn Froedge will give her student address.
Special music “The Prayer”, will be presented by the Varsity Choirs.
Valedictorian Kaylin Brooke Bell will give her student address.
Presentation of Diplomas will be made by Superintendent Robbie Binnicker, Principal Roach, Assistant Principal William Jones and Assistant Principal April Hays.
Principal Roach will confirm graduates.
Honor Grad Lucas Daniel Venette will present his student response. Honor Grad Sara Isabella Harter will have closing remarks.

Powdersville High

Powdersville High Graduation Ceremonies will begin at 12 p.m. Honor Grad Cole Hunter Bracken will begin with a moment of reflection. Honor Grad Zachary Jonathon Williams will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Honor Grad Blake Donavan Hudgins will sing the National Anthem.
Student Body Co-Presidents Carson Rebecca Dyar and Honor Grad Cori Aurora Channing Terry will welcome guests.
Special Music will be presented by the Concert Choir and Show Choir members.
Powdersville Principal Dr. Chris Ferguson will present awards and recognize honors.
Valedictorian Emily Elizabeth Willis will present her Graduation Address “The Silent Spectator”.
Salutatorian Avery Caroline Mustar will present her Graduation Address, “Hop in an Uber”.
Honor Grad Sadin Bassam Aldabaibeh will read a Letter to the Audience.
Dr. Ferguson and Lauree Cole will award diplomas.
The Alma Mater (Adams/Hood/Phillips) will be led by Honor Grad Natalie Emily Wojeik and Honor Grad Maegan Adele Holmes. Closing remarks will be made by Student Body Co-President Carson Rebecca Dyar and Student Body Co-President and Honor Grad Cori Aurora Channing Terry.

Wren High

Wren High Graduation will be begin at 3 p.m.
Honor Grad Kelzzy Guinevere Soriao Buenaventura will have Opening Reflection. Honor Grad Alyssa Christina Easlick will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Honor Grad Abigail Marie Weatherford will sing the National Anthem.
Student Body Presidents and Honor Grads Greta Cambridge Tate and Janey Madison Dixon will welcome guests.
Following special music “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, Wren Principal Dr. Seth Young will recognize special guests including District One School Board members and others.
Honor Grad Margaret Elizabeth Marte will present a Teacher Tribute.
Principal Dr. Young will recognize honors.
Salutatorian Drew Grayson Alexander will present his graduation address entitled “Run Your Race”.
Valedictorian Rachel Mae Bertram will present her Graduation Address “Waiting Room”.
Honor Grad Rachel Michelle Coleman will read a Letter to the Audience.
Dr. Young will award Diplomas. Kyle Whitfield and Christopher Chapman will assist.
Honor Grad Jonah Brian Tollison will lead the Alma Mater.
Honor Grad Anna Michelle Carpenter will present Final Thoughts.

Guests are reminded to refrain from loud expressions of any kind for individual graduates due to expressions detracting from the recognition of the next graduate in line.
