ACSO investigating Easley shooting death

The body of a missing Easley man was discovered Friday (July 9) in an open type shed behind a residence on Poinsettia Drive in Easley. According to Senior Deputy Coroner Don McCown, the victim appeared to have been in the shed for several days.
The man was identified as Cleveland Jennings Sanders III, 62, of Easley. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
According to McCown, the investigation indicates that the victim was reported missing on July 6, 2021 by family
members and during the course of the investigation by Anderson County Sheriff’s Office the victim was located and had been dead since July 6, 2021. The case has been ruled a homicide and an autopsy is scheduled for this week. The investigation is ongoing by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and the Anderson County Office of the Coroner.
