West Pelzer Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

July 14 – Interim Chief Scott Stoller to the Sav-Way at 80 Main Street where the manager reported a drive-off theft of gasoline. The loss was estimated at $19. 01
July 15 – Ofc. Ryan Marro attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle which had no license plate. The driver acted as if he were pulling over, but he then U-turned and sped away at very high speeds. By the time Marro had turned around, he was well behind the orange sport bike. He terminated the pursuit when he lost sight of the vehicle.
July 18 – Interim Chief Scott Stoller responded to a 911 call to 82 Main Street. Two suspects had thrown a rock through a vehicle’s window and stole a jar with $20 change in it .
July 19 – Ofc. Rory Bell initiated a traffic stop on a black motorcycle that failed to use turn signals, several times. The biker fled toward Williamston at a high rate of speed. He turned onto Oak Street in Williamston and attempted to cut through a yard and lost control of the bike. A search of his person and a bag revealed a .22 caliber handgun. He was arrested for the weapon and for driving under suspension. He was transported to the ACDC.
