Each year, an Induction Teacher of the Year is selected for Anderson School District One and the winner for the 2020 – 2021 school year was Tyler Gardo of Wren High School.

Dr. Seth Young said “Mr. Gardo is destined for greatness as an English teacher because of his ability to foster positive relationships with all of his students and his colleagues at Wren High School. He is a natural born teacher that helps students reach their full potential. He is so well deserving of the Anderson District One Induction Teacher of the Year. I look forward to the great things he accomplishes in the future!”

Gardo shared, “I have loved every moment I have spent in Anderson One. From kindergarten to senior year of high school, from student teaching and now teaching in my dream district, I feel like I never left home. Anderson One is full of great educators; the same educators that poured into me and inspired me to be what I am today: an educator. I am thankful for the honor of being Anderson School District One’s Induction Teacher of the Year! And forever and always – Go Golden Hurricanes!”
