Teresa Meares, Computer Lab Teacher and Administrative Assistant at Palmetto Middle School was named the Anderson School District One Support Staff of the Year for 2021-22 during a recent ceremony held at the new Palmetto Middle School.
District One Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jeff Wilson introduced the Support Staff of the Year at the AD1 Back to School Celebration held recently.

Dr. Wilson announced the 2021 – 2022 support person of the year as Ms. Teresa Meares, from Palmetto Middle School.
Jason McCauley, Palmetto Middle School Principal said “Teresa Meares is one of the kindest, most selfless, hard-working individuals that I have ever encountered! She literally lives her life to serve others. I would be hard pressed to believe that there is even one member of the Palmetto Middle School family that has not been profoundly impacted by this amazing lady. She lives out her faith on a daily basis and is a true beacon of light! I am so thankful to have the opportunity to work with her on a daily basis!”
“I am honored to represent Anderson School District One as Support Staff Employee of the Year,” Meares. “In my opinion, it would be nice for all support staff to receive an award. I truly believe that it takes all of us at Anderson One working together supporting each other to accomplish the needs of the students and families in our district. My job is very important to me and I am thankful to be a part of such a fine educational organization.”
