West Pelzer police officers investigated a number of incidents recently including the following:
Sept. 18 – Chief Scott Stoller initiated a traffic stop on a car driven by Leslie Mansour Anders, WF, 45,5’7”, 150 pounds. Finding of marijuana in the car he searched further and found more than 150 pills. Some were Xanax and some were oxycodone. She was arrested and transported to the ACDC.
Sept. 26 – Ofc. T. Richey responded to Old River Road in response to a report of Matthew Tyler Strickland, of 3 Holiday St. being in custody of Deputy Sellars for possession of stolen property including a Jeep owned by his mother. Richey intended to seek an arrest warrant.
Sept. 27 – Chief Scott Stoller investigated an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle located at 338 Dendy St. According to reports, James Anthony Nabors, WM, 42, 6’, 305 pounds called the car’s owner, taunting her that he had her keys. Upon returning home from shopping with her mother, the victim found the car missing. The car was subsequently recovered and returned to the owner.
Sept. 29 – Chief Scott Stoller initiated a traffic stop on Main Street for a missing license plate. The driver, Bryan Enrique Mendoza De Horta, Hispanic male, 21,5’8” 140 pounds, was subsequently charged with forgery, DUS, driving uninsured, operating unregistered vehicle.
