Rev. Dr. Bobby Caldwell

Pelzer – Rev. Robert Gebronge “Bobby” Caldwell, 87, husband of the late Joyce Vivian Robinson Caldwell, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

   Born in Pelzer, he was the son of the late Homer Gebronge and Lillian Ragsdale Caldwell. A S.C. National Guard veteran, he served in Williamston for nine years. A retired Baptist minister, he was a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church in Anderson, and was also a member of the White Plains Lodge where he served as a 50 year mason.

   He is survived by sons, Robert Stephen Caldwell (Tammy) of Pelzer and Mark Donovan Caldwell (Kathy) of Simpsonville; grandchildren, Erica Bell (Brian), Leah Cabaniss, Maggie Schuetz (Kurt), Kayla England (Sean), Sherry Kay Fulmer (Aaron), Kelley Vaughan (Forrest); ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service was held Saturday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Due to Covid-19, it was suggested that masks be worn and social distancing observed.

 David Cantrell, Sr.

David Lee Cantrell of Pelzer, Sr., 70, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021.

Born in Startex, he was the son of the late Berry Andrew and Hazel Lee Farr Cantrell.  He was employed with Opperman Webbing, Inc., Piedmont.

Survivors include partner, Tami; children, Berry Andrew Cantrell of Pelzer, David Lee Cantrell, Jr. of Williamston, daughter, Sheila Lee Ann Elliott of Roebuck, and Shane Nicholas Cantrell of Pelzer; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel.  Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Williamston.

Virginia Reeves

Williamston – Virginia Ann Blevins Reeves, 73, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021.

Born in Washington County, TN, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Dorothy Elizabeth Baron Blevins.

She is survived by daughter, Amber Reeves of Williamston; son, Timothy Brian Reeves of Johnson City, TN; sisters, Melissa Creamer of Williamston and Linda Rice and brother-in-law, Floyd of Jonesborough, TN; brother, Philip Randy Blevins of Jonesborough, TN; nephew, Lane Creamer; and niece, Lindsay Rice.

She was predeceased by brother, Gregory Blevins.

   A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, October 29, in the chapel at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

Sue Poole

Sue Frances Bishop Poole of Belton, 88, wife of the late Robert “Bob” Bailey Poole, Sr., passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021.

Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rosa Lee Lesley Bishop. She retired from Weavecraft Fabrics.

She is survived by daughters, Cheryl Poole Kelly of Belton, Julie Poole Lynn of Powdersville and Robbie Poole Jackson of Seneca; sons, Robert Poole, Jr. of Anderson and Frank Poole of Williamston; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and numerous niece and nephews.

A graveside service was held  Monday, October 25, at Garden of Memories.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a hospice facility of one’s choice.

Sue Dickerson

Pelzer – Agatha Sue Owens Dickerson, 89, wife of the late David Horace Dickerson, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021.

Born in Fork Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Flemon Talley and Martha Jane Thurston Owens. Mrs. Dickerson retired from Geer Memorial Baptist Church as a Kindergarten teacher. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, the Joymakers Senior Club, and the Palmetto Serenaders.

She is survived by daughter, Shirley Milton Warren of the home; son, David Vernon Milton of Pelzer; ten grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

The youngest of nine; she was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and was predeceased by daughter, Myrtle Jean Milton; and son, Elton Aubrey Milton, Jr.

A private service will be held.

Cameron Hodge

Cameron Vance Hodge of Fountain Inn, 28, husband of Jenna Marlene Hall Hodge, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Born in Conway, he was a son of Eric Vance and Christy Michelle Rabon Hodge of Williamston. He was employed with Sealed Air and a member of Dry Oak Assembly of God.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by daughters, Araya Grace Hodge and Eliyana Faith Hodge, both of the home; brothers, Jeremiah Rodney Hodge of Williamston and Courtney Lewis Hodge and girlfriend, K.D. Lane Young of Pelzer; grandmothers, Lou Esther Johnson of Aynor and Kathryn Freeman Hodge of Belton; grandfather, Worley Rabon of Conway; and great-grandmother, Ethel Lovett Hodge of Avon Park, FL.

The service was held October 24, in the chapel at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

Grady Keeler

Grady Franklin Keeler of Piedmont, 83, husband of the late Barbara Jean Wilson Keeler, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

Born in Williamston, he was a son of the late Clyde Grady Keeler and Frances Matthews Phillips Rentz. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he retired from Dunean Mill in Greenville, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

   He is survived by daughters, Robin Keeler Fox and Shannon Keeler Ellison; son, Kenneth Grady Keeler all of Piedmont; eight grandchildren and Jacklyn McClain; 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Saturday, October 23 at Gray Mortuary.

The funeral was October 24 in the mortuary chapel, with burial at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
