A Williamston police officer attempted to stop a car Saturday night along West Main Street. The suspect refused to stop and sped down Belton Drive. The Williamston officer discontinued following the car at the city limits and advised Belton officers. They intercepted the car on North Main Street in their jurisdiction. The driver eventually stopped prior to the square in Belton where he was apprehended. He was driving a car that had been reported stolen in Georgia earlier in the evening. (Photo by David Rogers)
