Norma Ellison, Mary Callaham, Robert “Bobby” Taylor, James Ann Coker, April Williams, Regina Bullions, Chuck Miller

Chuck Miller

Calvin G. “Chuck” Miller of Piedmont, 77, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022.

Born in Dayton, OH, he was a son of the late Lawson and Myrtle Miller. He retired as the owner and operator of Chuck Miller’s Restoration, a classic car restoration business.

Survivors include son, Troy Miller of Anderson; daughter, Sheila Schwenneker of Piedmont; brothers, Charles Miller of Ocala, FL and Woody Miller of Titusville, FL; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 27, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Gray Mortuary.

Due to Covid-19, it is suggested that masks be worn and social distancing observed.

Regina Bullions

Regina Bullions of Pelzer, SC passed away Feb. 12, 2022 due to cancer. 

She is survived by her husband Andy Bullions, two sons Scott and Todd Bullions, and four grandchildren,Raymond, Aaron, Wilson and Alice Bullions. 

In addition to being a wife, mother and grandmother, she served her community in many capacities. She was a retired Greenville County School teacher where she taught for over 20  years. She was a member of Latimer Memorial United Methodist Church in Belton where she taught Sunday School and served on numerous boards and committees during her almost 50 years of service in that congregation. 

She also served as a volunteer at Hospice of the Upstate for 20 years. It was this same Hospice where she spent her last days. However regardless of this remarkable service to her family and community, Regina is best known for her  love of horses. She was an avid rider for almost 70 years, during which she trained American Saddlebred show horses, showed in 3  gaited and country pleasure classes, and taught others to ride with a passion and dedication for perfection akin to that of an Olympic athlete. Her motto was “I will live until I die.” She lived this motto resolutely for her entire life. She will be missed, yet she will live on in all of us through what she taught and expected of s. 

A memorial service will be held March 19th at Latimer Memorial United Methodist Church.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.

April Williams

April Suzanne Palmer Williams of Abbeville, 46, wife of James “Jimmy” Richard Williams, Jr., passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of Roger Dale Palmer of the home and Sheila Diane Norris Palmer of Elberton, GA.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by daughters, Kirstin Hobson of Belton; Nikki Morgan of Starr; Hannah Tate of the home; son, Jay Tate of Mauldin; brother, Joshua Palmer of Honea Path; sister, Crissie Chapman of Abbeville; six grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Wednesday, February 23 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

James Ann Coker

Pelzer – James Ann Lindley Coker, 79, wife of the late James Farrell Coker, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late James Lindley and Hazel Martin McAlister. She retired from Michelin and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Terri Cox (Martin) of Piedmont, Jimmy Shaw (Tracy) of Williamston, Wanda Madden of Williamston, David Coker (Maria) of Pelzer, Eddie Coker of Belton, and Ronnie Coker of Belton; brother, Don McAlister of Santee; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by son, Ronnie Shaw and grandson, Chase Shaw.

   The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 23, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Gray Mortuary.

The funeral will be Thursday, February 24, at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Robert “Bobby” Taylor

Robert Lanier Taylor of Pelzer, 75, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022.

   Born in Pelzer, he was a son of the late Guy Ray and Jessie Alma Kelly Taylor.  He was a retired store clerk.

He is survived by son, David Taylor; and brothers, Garnett Taylor and Bill Taylor of Williamston.

No services are planned at this time.

Mary Callaham

Williamston – Mary Cornelia Epps Callaham, 88, wife of Clarence Houlan Callaham, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Oliver and Eunice Reid Epps. She retired from BASF and was a member of High Praises Church.

Survivors include her sons, Eddie Callaham (Gloria) of Pelzer and Barry Callaham of Williamston; daughters, Vickie Gaffin of the home and Rosemary Gilreath of Dacusville; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers, Joseph and Jerry Epps; sister, Betty Patterson; and grandchild, Gena Brook.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 24 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary, with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Norma Ellison

Norma Jean Erskine Ellison of Belton, 90, wife of the late John Elvin Ellison, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

   Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late James Leland and Alice Alberta Geer Erskine. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by sisters, Barbara Smith of Belton and Peggy Gambrell of Anderson; four grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was  February 18 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. A graveside service followed  at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
