Partisan Candidate Filing for county and state offices will remain open through March 30 at 12:00 noon.
Filing for Anderson County Auditor (unexpired term) will also be open during this period. Candidate filing will be held at the County Board of Voter Registration & Elections, 301 N Main Street Anderson, SC 29621, Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Primary Election for this seat will be: June 14, 2022. Polls are open 7 am – 7 pm.
Filing Form: The Statement of Intention of Candidacy & Party Pledge (SICPP) form required for filing is available in the “Candidate Information” section of www.scvotes.gov and at the County Election Office.
Filing Fee: Filing fees are paid at the time of filing by candidates seeking the nomination of a party nominating by primary. This filing fee is prorated for the unexpired term and is: $1,761.81. Filing fee checks must be made payable to the appropriate state political party.
State Ethics Filing: Candidates are required to file a Statement of Economic Interest and a Campaign Disclosure online with the State Ethics Commission at www.ethics.sc.gov. Failure to file these documents may result in a candidate fine but will not disqualify a candidate from an election. Contact the State Ethics Commission for more information.
