Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
July 21 – Cpl. D. R. Hart responded to 10 Davis St. in reference to a civil disturbance in which Betty Jean Holliday reported her grandson and his mother were arguing over money. According to reports, the grandson, Cameron Dakota Guin, of the same address, moved decorative items in the living room causing damage. The suspect’s mother stated that during the argument the suspect took a drill, put it in her face and pressed the power button. She refused to cooperate or press charges. Holliday was advised to follow through with an eviction to get the 20 year old grandson out of the residence.
July 22 – Morgan Glenn Rothel, 18, 20 Shaw Dr., Williamston was issued a traffic summons for failure to stop at a stop sign after a gray Ford Mustang was observed making a left turn from Williams St. onto Gossett Dr. without stopping at the stop sign.
July 22 – Michael Tiler Bridges, 23, 6B Hoyt St., Pelzer was arrested for driving under suspension after a gray Ford Truck was observed making a left turn from Williams St. onto Gossett Dr. without stopping at the stop sign. Bridges’ driver’s license was suspended for failure to pay traffic tickets with four prior DUS offenses. Bridges was arrested and transported to ACDC.
July 23 – Barry Eugene Walker, 59, 132 Lickville Rd., Belton was issued a summons for no proof of insurance after a white Dodge 1500 was observed making a left turn from Williams St. onto Gossett Drive without using a turn signal. The vehicle proceeded to Williams St. Extension before stopping in the driveway of a residence. The vehicle also had a cracked windshield. Walker was issued a summons for no insurance and for faulty equipment and a warning for not using a turn signal. The vehicle was towed. R. Connor investigated.
July 23 – Sgt. D. R. Hart responded to 605 Williams St. where Lou Ellen Osteen, 70, reported 2×4 lumber valued at $250 was taken from the side of her residence. The incident remains under investigation.
July 28 – Officer J. M. Cobb was dispatched to 2 W5th St., in reference to a break-in. According to reports, Michael Cruz Thrasher, 22, 2 W5th St., reported three firearms taken from the residence including a silver 45 Cal. Derringer with bone hand grip valued at $200, a MAPP Series Rock Island Cal. 9MM valued at $350, and another firearm (no details). Entry appeared to be gained by removing a screen to a window
