Envision Williamston recently announced an Adopt A Shelter program which includes 19 structures located in the Town’s three parks: Mineral Spring Park, Brookdale Park and Gray Drive Park.

Local churches and business were offered the opportunity to take responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the structures. Sponsors will provide manpower for needed work while the Town will provide necessary materials. One of the first structures to receive needed maintenance was the Long Shelter located in the center of the Park. Modern Roofing Company of Pelzer is sponsoring the Long Shelter and replaced shingles at no charge to the town. The Town also contracted Modern Roofing to replace shingles on the Amphitheater and both covered bridges while they were working in the Park.
