Update on Walmart/Woodruff Road: According to Carrie Weimer of the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, as of 11:40 am Tuesday, GCSO Deputies have cleared the area at Walmart on Woodruff Road. The item of concern was deemed non hazardous and non threatening.
Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 8:30 am Thursday morning in reference to a suspicious item left outside the front of Walmart at 1451 Woodruff Road.
The GCSO bomb squad is on location and K-9 deputies are currently performing a sweep.
Investigators are asking the public to avoid this area until cleared by law enforcement.
