Chase ends in Powdersville

A mother holds a small child while a paramedic holds an infant following a chase Thursday night that began in Easley and ended in Powdersville. According to reports, Easley police attempted to stop a Dodge Charger for a traffic violation when the driver ignored their blue lights and siren. The pursuit came into Anderson County, through the Three and Twenty community and eventually into Powdersville. The chase ended at Old Easley Bridge Road and Old Pendleton Road when the driver crashed the car into a guardrail. He then jumped out and ran. As authorities approached the car they saw an infant, another small child, and their mom in the car. They were checked at the scene by EMS but were not transported to the hospital. Sheriff’s Office to hold Town Hall meeting – Powdersville

A Town Hall meeting will be held on Thursday, March 13 at the Powdersville Library starting at 6 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. This meeting is open to the public and will be presided over by the Anderson County Sheriff, John Skipper and Captain Darrell Hill.

Two local players named “All-American” – Powdersville football

Two rising 9th graders who played football at Powdersville Middle School have been selected as high school “All-Americans” and are considered among the top 100 players in the nation.

“JJ” Gentile and “EJ” Humphrey both attended several football camps and combines during the spring where they have gone against some of the top players in the nation in their class.

Moped driver injured – Powdersville

A moped driver was injured early Sunday morning on McNeely Road in Powdersville. The driver ran out of the roadway and crashed his moped. He was rushed to Greenville Memorial Medical Center by Pelzer EMS. Powdersville firefighters assisted EMS at the scene. (Photo by David Rogers)
