CAROLINE LOCKABY

Caroline Riddle Lockaby, 86, widow of the Rev. John P. Lockaby, died May 20, 2008 at Riverside Living Center in Piedmont.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Robert Allen and Nell Vaughn Riddle. She was a homemaker and a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church in Greenville.

She is survived by daughter, Jane Whitten of Pelzer; brothers, Allen Riddle of Easley, Douglas Riddle of Taylors; and two grandchildren.

Graveside service was held May 23 at the Reedy Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial services followed at Reedy Fork Baptist Church.

EDDIE LOLLIS

Eddie Monroe Lollis, 57, died May 21, 2008.

Born in Anderson County, he was the husband of Wanda Clardy Lollis and the son of the late Jim and Clara Watson Lollis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had previously worked in landscaping and construction and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, James “Jed” Lollis of Atlanta, GA; nine sisters, Lola Mae Baker, Eva Jones, Irene Dowis, Sarah Alexander, Lois Lark, Peggy Chapman, Agnes Thrasher, Dottie Griffith and Annie Waddell; and three brothers, Paul, Jerry and Herman Lollis.

Funeral services were held May 23 at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.


TAMMY BALLARD

Tammy Louise Ballard, 46, wife of James Michael Ballard, died May 20, 2008.

Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown is assisting the family.


BEVERLY KEYS

Beverly Jane Moore Keys, 61, wife of Jerry Ernest Keys of Williamston, died May 23, 2008 at Hospice of the Upstate.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of Edna Timms Moore of Belton, and the late Marvin DeWitt Moore. She was a homemaker, a former childcare provider and a member of Whitefield Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of the home; mother; daughter, Sherry Keys of Williamston; and sister, Diane Burris of Belton.

Funeral service was held May 26 at Whitefield Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Whitefield Baptist Church Building Fund, 207 Mitchell Road, Belton, SC 29627.


ADA BELL PYLES JOHNSON

Ada Bell Pyles Johnson, 82, of Greenville, died May 21, 2008 in the Easley Living Center, Easley.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Johnson, Kenneth Johnson of Greenville and Wesley Johnson of Piedmont; three daughters, Annie Gray of Easley, Bobbie Anderson and Lucille Leake of Greenville; one sister, Sofie Nell Turner of New Haven, CT; and 29 grandchildren.

Funeral service was held May 24 in the Beasley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.


GLEN FLANAGAN

Glen J. Flanagan, 71, of Piedmont, widower of Becky Flanagan, died May 26, 2008.

Born in Goose Neck, NC, he was the son of the late Andrew and Geneva Drake Flanagan and retired from Ray Walker Trucking Co.

Surviving are daughters, Debbie Flanagan, Annette Harris, Kathleen Brooks; sons, Robert Flanagan, Glenn Flanagan; granddaughter, Naticia Flanagan of the home; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
