Mobile home fire

Williamston firefighters make entry into a burning mobile home Thursday afternoon. When firefighters arrived flames were shooting from the end windows. The fire was quickly extinguished. Three injured – Hwy. 29

Three people were injured a a three vehicle accident on Wednesday evening at the intersection of Highway 29 and Welcome Road. Whitefield firefighters had to cut the door from one of the vehicles to remove the driver. Two drivers and a passenger in one of the vehicles were injured and transported by Medshore Ambulance Service. West Pelzer firefighters also assisted.

When the vehicles collided one left the roadway and came to rest on the sidewalk in front of a commercial building, narrowly missing the building. House fire – Ellison Lake Road

Firefighters prepare to extinguish a house fire Saturday night on Ellison Lake Road at Sweet Gum Circle. When firefighters arrived minutes after receiving the call flames were coming through the roof and other parts of the home. The elderly couple living there were able to get out on their own and were not injured. Whitefield, West Pelzer, and Piercetown firefighters responded to the call. Cyclist struck by car – Midway Road

A man was injured after the bike he was riding was struck by a car on Monday evening on Midway Road near Breazeale Road. Hopewell firefighters assisted Medshore Ambulance Service with patient care and also with traffic control. The man was taken to AnMed. The woman driving the car was arrested and taken in for suspicion of driving under the influence. State troopers are investigating the wreck. (Photo by David Rogers)

Beaverdam Road collision

A Medshore ambulance and car collided on Saturday afternoon on Beaverdam Road. The ambulance was responding to an emergency call when it happened. Kitchen fire – Breazeale Drive

A Whitefield firefighter brings a burning container out of a house following a kitchen fire on Sunday morning on Breazeale Drive. The fire apparently started in a fryer. The fire was kept to a minimum but the kitchen suffered heat and smoke damage. The homes occupant was checked at the scene by Medshore Ambulance Service personnel for minor burns. Car overturns on Williams Street – Driver arrested for DUI

Williamston firefighters along with Medshore Ambulance Service personnel work at the scene of a single vehicle accident on Friday evening. A car traveling west on Williams Street left the roadway and struck at least two trees before overturning. A passenger in the car was rushed to Greenville Memorial by ambulance. Wreck ends on golf course

A pickup truck ran off Beaverdam Road Saturday night and ended up on a green at the Saluda Valley Golf Course. The truck also struck and knocked down a utility box.
