Old River Road accident

Motorcycle accident

One injured – Hall Road

One person was injured Sunday in a single car accident on Hall Road. Three and Twenty firefighters assisted Pelzer EMS with patient care. The car was traveling on Hall Road off Highway 8 when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was taken to an area hospital by EMS. (Photo by David Rogers)

Mobile home fire

Three and Twenty firefighters along with Wren and Piercetown work to extinguish hot spots following a mobile home fire Friday night. Flames were coming from the front of the mobile home when firefighters arrived. The home was vacant and was a total loss. I-85 accident

A pickup truck rear ended a tractor trailer Monday night on I-85 near the Highway 86 exit. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured. The driver of the pickup walked away from the scene. Pelzer EMS and Wren fire department responded to the accident. (Photo by David Rogers)

Single vehicle accident

Off ramp collision – I85 & Hwy. 86

Single vehicle involved – I-85 at Hwy. 153

Hwy. 20 fatality

Pelzer EMS along with firefighters from West Pelzer and Piedmont work to remove the injured driver of a pickup truck incolved in a collision with a car near the intersection of SC hwy. 20 (Piedmont Hwy.) and Rehoboth Road around 6:30 am Tuesday monring. The driver of the car, Michael Poole, 67, or Pelzer, died from blunt force trauma according to Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans. (Photo by David Rogers)

Fatal bike accident – Powdersville

State troopers examine a bicycle that was struck by a car on Saturday night in Powdersville. The bicyclist, fifty year old John Jeffrey Abbott of Piedmont died after his bike was struck from the rear by a vehicle on SC 81 north of SC 153. SC 81 was closed for about to hours as authorities investigated the accident. Pelzer EMS, Powdersville firefighters, and Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman responded to the call.
