Single vehicle accident – Heavily damaged SUV

South Greenville firefighters responded to a single vehicle accident on Friday night on West Georgia Road to find no one around the heavily damaged SUV. Motorcycle and SUV accident – West Georgia RD

South Greenville firefighters work at the scene where two people were injured after a motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon. The motorcycle  and  an SUV collided at the intersection of West Georgia and Standing Springs Road. One person was flown to the Trauma Center at Greenville Memorial while the other was taken by ambulance. The accident is under investigation by state troopers. Accident at Lee Steam Plant

A Medshore ambulance leaves Lee Steam Plant Wednesday after a contract worker was rescued. The worker, who had safety gear on, fell and was suspended in the air. West Pelzer firefighters, the Anderson Technical Rescue Team, Medshore Ambulance Service, Pelzer EMS, and South Greenville firefighters responded. Motorcyclist injured

South Greenville firefighters along with Greenville County EMS work at the scene of an accident on Sunday afternoon. A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a wreck at the intersection of West Chapman Road and Holliday Dam Road. The driver of a Harley Davidson was rushed to Greenville Memorial Hospital after apparently losing control of his motorcycle near the intersection. State Troopers are investigating the wreck. Two vehicle accident – Hwy. 247

Union Baptist Church fire

South Greenville firefighters received a walk in report of a church fire Tuesday afternoon. When firefighters arrived two minutes later Union Baptist Church was about seventy-five percent engulfed in flames. The SC Law Enforcement Division and Greenville County Sheriffs investigators returned to the scene Wednesday morning to continue their investigation into the cause of the fire. The church building on Union Church Road off Fork Shoals Road was destroyed.

Two vehicle accident – Hwy. 8

Four people shot – one pronounced dead at scene

Four people were shot Sunday afternoon on Eastview Road near Old Pelzer Road. South Greenville firefighters along with Greenville County EMS responded to the call. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, two taken by ambulance to an area hospital, and another was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital by GHS MedTrans. The Greenville County Sheriffs office is investigating along with the coroners office. According to reports, one person was found in the front yard with a gunshot wound. All three had serious injuries. The name of the deceased has not been released. (Photo by David Rogers)

 

Driver dies in fuel tanker fire – Cooley Bridge Road

South Greenville firefighters work to extinguish a fuel tanker fire on Wednesday afternoon. The truck wrecked and burned on Cooley Bridge Road around 12:40. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Cooley Bridge Road will be closed for repairs at the area of the accident until Monday for repairs.
