Williamston police report

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Jan. 17 – Elizabeth Ann Smith, 32, 308 Camillia Dr., Williamston was arrested for disorderly conduct after officers responded to Cash Advance/Laundromat parking lot on Greenville Drive in reference to an alleged drunk driver in a white F-150 truck. According to reports, Smith was observed inside the laundromat where she appeared intoxicated and officers observed what appeared to be a bottle of alcohol with a broken seal. Smith was issued a citation and advised of her court date and fine. M. Roberts, E Bonnett investigated.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Jan. 10 – Dollar General, 526 West Main St., Williamston reported a shoplifting incident in which a black male wearing a large brown coat, blue jeans and black hat entered the store and took chips, a drink and 2 frozen dinners valued at $11. The suspect left in a black Honda Civic tag #LYY676. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Jan. 3 – Gina Dawn Ricks, 43, 502B Garren Rd., Belton was placed on trespass notice for 526 West Main St. after Williamston Police Officers were dispatched to Dollar General, 526 West Main St., in reference to a suspicious person. Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Jan. 3 – Shaun David Bell, 37, 412 Old River Rd., Pelzer was arrested for outstanding warrant by PPP. He was taken into custody and transported to ACDC. R. Drennon, F. Eugene investigated.

Williamston Police ReportWilliamston Police Officers recovered a stolen vehicle and investigated several incidents at local business as 2016 came to a close and the New Year began. Among incidents investigated were the following:

Dec. 29 – Elijah Jacob Stathers, 23, 151 Brookside Circle, Belton was arrested for unlawful carry, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to 17 E. Main St. in reference to a potential break-in of a vehicle. According to reports an unknown complaintant stated she heard glass break and then saw a male enter a vehicle. The male was slumped over in the vehicle. Abroken liquor bottle was found outside the driver’s door and a silver and black handgun was observed in plainview inside the driver’s door.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Dec. 15 – Jesse Lee Clary, 35, 339 Mize Rd., Belton was issued a summons for trespassing and malicious injury to real property after officers were dispatched to Rite Aid, 201 East Main St. in reference to trespassers in the trash dumpsters. Officers found two men inside the dumpsters. According to reports they had unlocked a locked gate to get to the trash dumpsters and pried open the dumpsters to gain entrance. Clary has spray painted graffiti, in blue paint, on dumpsters. Clary and Jason Webb, Jr. 37, 213 W Union Dr. #8, Belton were both placed on trespass notice for the location and issued courtesy summons. E. Bonnett, M. Roberts investigated.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Dec. 7 – Macala Marie Hatfield, 19, 10 Edgewood Dr., Williamston reported an unknown subject knocking on doors and windows and possibly attempting to get into the residence. When officers arrived Hatfield told them a white male wearing dark fluffy coat and jeans followed her home from work. Officers searched the immediate area and were unable to find the subject. M. Williamston Police Officers investigated the following indidents:

Nov. 15 – Kathy B. McCarter, 68, 801 Tripp St., reported vandalism to a 1997 Toyota truck. According to reports someone tried to stick an object in the door lock and the item had broken off inside the lock. Damage was estimated at $452.00. M. Beeman investigated.

Williamston police officers investigated shoplifting, fights, people were living in a residence with no power or water connection and an accident in Mineral Spring Park in which a vehicle accidentally struck a display and power pole causing $1500 in damage. These and other incidents investigated during the Thanksgiving holiday period included the following:

Nov. 15 – Williamston officers responded to 203 Williams Street Ext. in reference to a suspicious object on the front porch. According to reports, April Dawn Hufflin, 37, reported she found the object and had no idea where it came from and that they had concerns about touching it and the object being on the front porch. The object appeared to be a small propane tank and it appeared empty. The object was removed from the porch. M. Roberts investigated.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following:

Nov. 8 – Austin Blake Lowe, 19, 205 Sweetgum Circle, Williamston was placed on trespass notice for 11 Virginia Drive after officers were dispatched to the residence in reference to a daughter’s ex-boyfriend refusing to leave the residence. M. Roberts, E. Bonnett investigated.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following:

Oct. 4 – Connie Davis Craigo, 75, 33 Main St., W. Pelzer reported two 14 ct. gold rings valued at $500 were taken from her car while at 100 East Main Street. Z. T. Parks investigated.

Oct. 25 – Sav-Way, 309 East Main St,. Williamston reported a gas drive off in which a customer brought in a SC ID card to hold while he pumped $27 in gas and left without paying. The suspect is a regular customer and is expected to come back and pay for the gas and get his identification. E. Bonnett investigated.

Oct. 25 – Chon Paul Maness, 40, 224 Dana Dr., Williamston reported lending a moped to a 50-year-old female with a Belton address which had not been returned. After contacting the suspect, the moped was located at a relatives house. No arrests were made. M. Roberts, E. Bonnett investigated.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Oct. 18 – Joel Alan Ellison, 52, reported a break-in at 406 Gossett Dr. in which eight windows were broken out of the old Gossett School Building. Also wires were pulled from under a crawlspace and several unknown items were missing. Damage to the windows was estimated at $8,000. Z. T. Parks investigated.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Oct. 11 -Roger Dale McClellion, 43 108 L St., Williamston and Melissa Dawn Kay, 41, 108 L St. #B were both put on trespass notice for each others property after officers responded to a civil dispute at 108 L St. According to reports, Kay had gone to the residence to get a relative’s clothing and the complainant (McClellion) and suspect (Kay) began arguing and being loud enough to disrupt neighbor’s peace and tranquility. Both parties were issued warning for public disorderly conduct and placed on trespass notice from each other’s residence. E. Bonnett, M. Roberts investigated.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents recently:

Sept. 27 – Elijah Jacob Stathers, 23, 170 Brown Dr., Easley was arrested for public disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to the area of Gossett Street in reference to a domestic call. According to reports Stathers and his girlfriend had got into an argument and the girlfriend got out of the vehicle and walked to the Masonic lodge. She told officers she and Stathers were homeless and had been sleeping in the cemetery where her boyfriend was in a silver 2005 Toyota Salara. Officers found Stathers sitting in the vehicle at the Williamston cemetery. He was belligerent and disorderly when officers made contact with him. At that time he was arrested and transported to the ACSO without incident. E. Bonnett, M Crowe investigated.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Sept. 21 – Steven Louis Broom, 38, 9415 Caney Fork Rd., Cullowee, NC reported a white male driving a dark color Dodge SUV hit his 2000 Chevrolet work truck and sped away. Damage was estimated at $2000. E. Bonnett, Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.
