100 warrants issued in burglary ring

Anderson County Sheriff’s Investigators have broken up a burglary ring responsible for numerous thefts in Anderson County.

Sheriff’s Investigators have arrested and served over 100 warrants on 22 individuals responsible for committing various property crimes throughout Anderson County.

The individuals are responsible for at least 30 criminal incidents including, burglary 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees, grand larceny, petit larceny, motor vehicle theft, receiving stolen property, and operating a chop shop.

The stolen property value reaches over $160,000 and includes items such as Harley Davidson motorcycles, enclosed trailers, personal and company vehicles, four wheelers, guns and other personal property.

Investigators, Uniform Patrol Officers, CATCH (Criminal Apprehension Through Community Help) officers and SWAT team officers assisted in the investigation and apprehension of the suspects. Sheriff’s Investigators have recovered almost $25,000 of the stolen property in several locations including Laurens County, and Northeast Georgia.
