The Anderson County Planning Department has confirmed that a WalMart SuperCenter is coming to the Powdersville area.
Plans were recently confirmed for a WalMart facility that will be located near the intersection of Hwy. 81 North and Hwy. 153.
Anderson County Planning Director Bill West said that the plans submitted to the County were originally for a “mystery “ big box store.
Big would be accurate, since the facility as designed will encompass 148, 384 square feet.
It will be located at the intersection of Highway 81 and McNeely Street where a small strip of stores were recently demolished. No construction start date has been announced at this time.
