Combined precincts in effect for primary voting

Some voters in Anderson County will not vote at their normal polling places during the January 21st Republican Presidential Primary due to combined precincts. A partial list of normal and combined precincts for The Journal reading area is as follows:

Combined Honea Path Barker’s Creek-McAdams and Chiquola Mill precincts will vote at Honea Path Middle School, 107 Brock Ave, Honea Path.

Belton – National Guard Armory, 700 Blue Ridge Ave, Belton.

Welfare Baptist Church, 2106 Bolt Dr. Belton.

Combined Brushy Creek and Mt. Airy precincts will vote at Wren Middle School, 1010 Wren School Rd, Piedmont.

Combined Williamston Mill and Cedar Grove precincts at Calvary Baptist Church, 10 S. Academy St., Williamston.

Concrete – Concrete Primary School, 535 Powdersville Main, Easley.

Powdersville – Powdersville Middle School, 135 Hood Rd, Greenville.

Combined High Point , Craytonville, Rock Spring will vote at Belton-Honea Path High School, 11000 BHP Hwy, Honea Path.

Combined Friendship and Toney Creek will vote at Friendship Fire Station, 1938 Abercrombie Rd, Honea Path.

Hammond School at Midway Elementary School, 1221 Harriett Cir, Anderson.

Combined Hammond Annex and Cox’s Creek will vote at Anderson Area YMCA, 201 East Reed Rd, Anderson.

Combined Piercetown and Melton will vote at Piercetown Fire Station, 5150 Hwy 81 N, Williamston.

Combined Pelzer and West Pelzer will vote at West Pelzer Primary 10 W. Stewart St, West Pelzer.

Combined Simpsonville and Piedmont will vote at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 135 Reid Bagwell Ln, Piedmont

Combined Shirley’s Store and Wright’s School will vote at Ebenezer Fire Station, 1416 Due West Hwy, Anderson.

Three & Twenty – Three & Twenty Fire Station, 1301 Three & Twenty Rd, Easley.

Hunt Meadows – Hunt Meadows Elementary School, 420 Hunt Rd. Easley.

White Plains – White Plains Community Center, 7431 Midway Rd, Pelzer.

Williamston – Palmetto Middle School, 803 N. Hamilton St, Williamston

The combined polling changes will remain in effect through the January 21st Primary, after which the affected precincts will revert back to their normal polling places, election officials said.

Voters can check their precinct to be sure they know where to vote in the Presidential Primary by visiting SCVotes.org and using the “Check Your Voter Registration” feature found in the menu under “Voters.” to locate the precinct name. To determine where that precinct will be voting you simply find the name of the precinct in the listing above or go to the “Combined Polling Locations” list by visiting www.andersoncountysc.org/vote. Voters without internet access may contact the voter registration office at (864) 260-4035 for polling location verification.

Signs will be posted at polling places that are temporarily closed for this election directing voters to the correct polling location to cast their ballot during the Republican Presidential Primary.
