LYNN WESTALL
Merrie Lynn Stafford Westall, 44, of Piedmont, wife of Steve Westall, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of Larry Herbert Stafford, of Greenville, and Dianne Moore Stafford, formerly of Whitmire.  She was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle of Faith in Piedmont.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she is survived by daughters, Brittany Dianne Westall and Aspen Nichole Westall, both of Piedmont; sisters, Kristen Dawn Strickland, of Newnan, GA, and Ashley Elizabeth Butler, of Pelzer; brother, Sean O’Neal Stafford, of Piedmont; grandmother, Dorothy Elizabeth Stafford, of Pelzer; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 3 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

RUBY ANN WOODCOCK TRIPP
Ruby Ann Woodcock Tripp, 75, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Magnolia Manor-Spartanburg. Born July 23, 1936, in West Pelzer, SC, she was the daughter of the late Liston L. “LL” and Louise Shealy Woodcock.
Ruby was a member of Spartanburg ARP Church, a member of the choir, and Eastern Star. She was a former manager of Harry C. White Manor and a graduate of Palmetto High School.
Survivors include her husband, Charlton Lynn Tripp; sons, Brian Lynn Tripp and Brent Eric Tripp, both of Spartanburg; brother, Frank “Pete” Woodcock of West Pelzer; and sisters, Doris Lawless of West Pelzer, Pearl Schillings of Columbia, and Bobbie Faulkner of Mt. Pleasant.
Visitation was 10:00-10:45 AM Friday, February 3, 2012, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services followed at 11:00 AM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Peter A. Waid. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

BARBARA KEELER
Barbara Jean Wilson Keeler, 68, of Piedmont, wife of Grady Franklin Keeler, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at her home.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Marvin Eugene and Helen Bagwell Wilson.  She was a homemaker and a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Shannon Keeler Ellison of Easley, and Robin Jean Fox  of Piedmont; son, Kenneth Grady Keeler of Easley; sisters, Joan Chapman of Inman, and Ann Hudson of Piedmont; brother, Steve Wilson of Easley; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 4 at Bessie Road Baptist Church. Burial followed at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the residence.

NED COX TUMBLIN
Ned Cox Tumblin, 75, widower of Frances Holliday Tumblin, of Belton, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at his home.
Born in Laurens County, he was the son of the late Marvin F. and Jany Cox Tumblin. He was a member of Cedar Shoals Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Surviving are daughters, Shenia Cagle of Belton, Sabrina Bedingfield of Belton, Laura Collins of Pelzer; brother, Marvin Tumblin, Jr. of Aiken; sisters,  Lonnie Monroe of LA, Jane Green of FL, Margaret McNeely of Easley, Ann Rhodes of Mauldin; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside service was held February 2 at Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.

MYRA ‘NANNY’ OZANNE
Myra Eloise “Nanny” Freeman Ozanne, 76, of Piedmont, widow of Ira Phillip Ozanne, died Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Heneger, AL, she was a daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Mazzie Belle Sewell Freeman.  She was retired from JP Stevens Estes Plant in Piedmont.
Surviving are daughter, Donna Ozanne Monroe of the home; sons, Ricky Allen Freeman of Belton, Wendell Lamar Ozanne of Piedmont, Byron Keith Ozanne of Pelzer, Terry Glenn Ozanne of Piedmont; sisters, Lois Mozell Southern of Liberty, Margaret J. Curry of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Charles Theodore Freeman of Greenville, Lumas Wesley Freeman of Piedmont; 13grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 6 in the mausoleum chapel of Greenville Memorial Gardens.

WANDA POSEY DICKSON
Wanda Posey Dickson, 53, widow of Ralph Allen Dickson, of Honea Path, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Honea Path, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Vera “Bea” Brock Posey. She was a member of Broadmouth Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Christopher Wayne Dickson of Honea Path; daughters, Dorie Pruitt of Honea Path and Loretta Wynn of Piedmont; brother, Donnie Posey of Honea Path; sisters, Sara Widner of Donaldson, Hazel Cole of Piedmont and Shirley Looney of Honea Path; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Broadmouth Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

JAMES J. GOODWIN
James Jerome Goodwin, 55, of San Antonio, TX, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Main Methodist Hospital, San Antonio, TX.
A son of the late James William “Boot” Goodwin and Bobbie Jean Jackson Goodwin, he was an employee with the Boeing Company and a retired US Air Force Airman.
He is survived by two sons, James Lamont Goodwin, Jeremy Goodwin of Seattle, WA; one brother, Calvin Goodwin of Piedmont; one sister, Bobbie Elaine Goodwin of Piedmont; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 7 at the Flat Rock Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Greenville Memorial Gardens with military rites.

LINDA GARRISON
Linda Lesley Garrison, 70, formerly of Piedmont, and having been a resident of Exalted Health and Rehab of Iva, wife of the late Charles Garrison, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late J. Hoyle and Eula Spearman Lesley, she retired as a caregiver.
Surviving are a son, Dan Cape of Fountain Inn; two daughters, Dottie Watt of Anderson and Lisa Lowery of Landrum; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services were Wednesday at Westview Cemetery, Easley.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
The family is at the home of Dottie and Roger Watt, 1303 Kings Road, Anderson.

MARY WHITMAN
Mary Frances Freeman Whitman, 68, of Pelzer, widow of Herman Whitman, died Sunday February 5, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday February 8 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Smyrna Cemetery in Lowndesville.
The family is at the home and  received friends Wednesday prior to the service.

‘TOMMY’ SIMS
Robert Thomas “Tommy” Sims, 53, of Fountain Inn, died Monday, February 6, 2012 at Hillcrest Hospital.
Born in Fountain Inn, he was the son of Robert Houston and Mary Hazel Thomas Sims.  He was employed with Cryovac-Sealed Air and a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his son, Brandon Lee Sims of Piedmont; his parents of Fountain Inn; and sister, Cindy Weathers of Fountain Inn.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 2-3 pm at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
Funeral services will follow at 3pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be held in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

DIANE PAGE McKINNEY
Diane Page McKinney, 68, of Piedmont, wife of Claude McKinney, Jr., died Sunday, February 5, 2012.
Born in Oconee, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Margaret Page.
She worked as a counselor at Wren Elementary School and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Lara Tate of Piedmont and Beth Gambrell of Greenville; sister, Linda Allen of Williamston; brother, Dan Page of Powdersville; and five grandchildren.
Funeral service was held February 7 at Mt. Pisgah Church. Burial followed at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

FRANCES TRAYNHAM
Frances Ridgeway Traynham, 93, of Mauldin, widow of Howard William Traynham, died Monday February 6, 2012.
She was born in Dunklin to the late George L. Ridgeway and Eulala Bagwell Ridgeway. She retired from Her Majesty where she was a professional seamstress and designer. She was a member of Mauldin United Methodist Church. She was the former organist and pianist for Lebanon United Methodist Church.
Surviving are daughters Maude Traynham of Greenville, Joyce Garrison of Piedmont; son, Bill Traynham of Simpsonville; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Mausoleum Chapel of Greenville Memorial Gardens.

IDA LEWIS
Ida Lewis, 86, of Mauldin, wife of Isaac Lewis, died on Monday, February 6, 2012.
She was retired and was a member of Mauldin United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Curtis Boger of Pelzer, Joe Boger of Simpsonville, Jeff Lewis of Pelzer; one daughter, Louise Cabe of Mauldin; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
