Christian Youth Theater (CYT) Upstate, Theater for kids will present Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man Jr” on stage March 16-18 at the Palmetto Middle School Auditorium.
The cast is made up entirely of students ages 8 to 18 who come from all over the Upstate to share their gifts and talents on stage said Heather Knapik, area coordinator for the organization.

“They have been preparing for their roles with a variety of theater arts classes at CYT Upstate.
The presentation will give an affectionate tribute to the smalltown, USA of a bygone era.
The Music Man follows a fast talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize, despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plan to skip town with the cash is foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by the end.
Performances will be held in the Palmetto Middle School Auditorium Friday, Mar. 16 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Mar. 17 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, Mar. 18 at 3 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.cytupstate.org or by phone at (864) 224-5186.
